Grangewood Methodist Church

Client: Alzheimer’s Society, ‘Living with Dementia Magazine’
Event: Photographing volunteer and service user at Grangewood Methodist Church
Venue: Grangewood Methodist Church; Grangewood Road; Nottingham NG8 2SJ
Brief: To attend Grangewood Methodist Church and photograph a user and carer taking part in regular weekly activity
Outcome:

This kind of commission can be very problematic, as the photographer does not want to be intrusive, has to be careful who is photographed and that all parties are aware of what is being undertaken.
On a practical basis, access with camera equipment was awkward, and the light levels at the venue varied hugely by a fact of ten between the area by the window and the opposite side of the room.
